Educational trail

The complex is dominated by a thirteen-meter-high granite monument to Jan Žižka by Josef Malejovský from 1960.

This educational trail, approximately 4 km long with ten information panels, maps the significant milestones of the Hussite movement. The information panels are equipped with QR codes, which offer those interested in the history of Trocnov and the Hussite movement a range of additional multimedia information. The trail is open year-round and free of charge without restrictions.

The trail leads from the parking lot in front of the Visitor and Education Center around the foundations of Žižka's farmstead, continues along the meadow at the edge of the forest to the 13-meter granite monument to the military leader, and on to the site of Žižka's alleged birthplace, which today is marked by a simple memorial stone. The trail then leads through a peaceful forest around old ponds with natural biotopes characteristic of this area. The next stop is Mikšův dvorec and the dam of Horní rybník. The nature trail ends back at the parking lot in front of the Visitor and Education Center.
